With two best teams being paid, the Team Competition got exciting on the final day of the festival
As there was a total of 611 150€ of prizes paid out during the Tallinn Summer Showdown, the Team Competition got 2% of that for the prize pool of 12 223€, with winners getting 9168€ and 3055€ for second place. Although the winning team was clear from the start of the day, the fight for second place of the Team Competition was very much alive until the end of the Main Event. Team “Aurinkoiset pojat” started the final day with exactly 0 points, but were relying on their key players, Tapio Vihakas and Jussi Mattila, to do well in the Main Event. Team “VPIP100” was nervously sweating the results of the two Finns, as they started the final day in second place with 50.14 points. In the end, team “Aurinkoiset pojat” fell a bit short and only accumulated a total of 41.03 points for the 3rd and 2nd place finishes in the Main Event.
